Update from our Conference Call this September 3, 2009:
1. First off, sorry we missed you Ana!
2. Presenter Certificates (Ana and Ruth):
a. Ana – hold off on my previous e-mail, we’re switching gears! Instead of giving each presenter a paper certificate, we are going to send an e-mail (Ruth is creating template) to each of their supervisors reminding them of their employee’s contribution to the region and to make sure to recongnize them in their next evaluation. I think we can still use the templates you created for the Top 6 Programs, however, with the B&N gift certificates, and I TOTALLY told you the wrong one. The most popular one was the one with the fading green background that has a mix of green and black ink. Maybe could we make it a full page for the Top 6 program winners? What do you two think?
b. By the end of September, Ana – can you work on compiling an Excel spreadsheet with the presenters names and e-mail addresses so we can mail merge the info at the conference and send out the e-mails? (work with Ruth and Erin Miedema/Rhonda Park-Uber to keep an updated list of presenters and also to figure out who is going to contact presenters who did not provide supervisor contact information on their program submission forms).
3. Presenter Gifts (Mo)
a. By the end of September…
i. Work with Cindy to get our $375 donation to Carbonfund.org
ii. Create a “footprint” handout for presenters, stating the number of pounds of carbon “saved” for each presenter that also includes more tips on carbon footprints and being green (printed on recycled paper, of course J)
iii. Create a liaison script for each programming session that will include information to the audience on carbon footprints, # of pounds of carbon = _, and “green tips” that will be different for each programming session
We should all be in contact by the end of September with updates!

What percentage of the gift goes to the actual projects?
· 96 cents of every dollar donated goes to the cause

Are we allowed to make donations? (Cindy???)
We're pretty sure - Cindy is going to verify

We could send out information on carbon footprints for this as well to participants
