Volunteerism is the lifeblood of AIMHO.  In addition to contributing to our profession, serving on any of the following committees allows you to develop your professional skills as well as work with others in the region.  If you would like to be considered for one or more of the following committees, please rank order (1=high to 5=low) your preferences below.  Please understand that your involvement in any of the following committees must be supported by your supervisor and institution.  Your commitment requires active participation, time and financial support.
Committee Options

Please read the descriptions below in order to rank your committee interest. Please use 1 - 5 with '1' being most interested.

Responsible for selecting and developing the annual AIMHO College.

Responsible for developing and initiating recognition of regional member institutions and employees for outstanding performance and contributions. Responsible for the continued development of the AIMHO history booth.

Responsible for developing strategies and offering training options to membership regarding diversity issues, including but not limited to ability, age, ethnicity, gender identity, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or other identities.

Responsible for producing the AIMHO Newsletter, the Angle and for the development of materials that will represent the region.

Program Committee
Responsible for soliciting programs and developing the structure of the annual AIMHO conference.  NOTE: Program Committee members must attend a June planning meeting and the annual conference as designated. 

Responsible for developing regional specific data, surveys and information. This committee also references ACUHO-I Research and Reporting offices.

Responsible for developing the regional institute geared for new and aspiring senior housing officers. Committee members ideally are senior housing officers.

Represents the association through outreach to schools within the SPR’s state. Shares updates from the association, updates state contact list, gathers information from state contacts, and leads state roundtable discussions during annual conference. SPR’s are elected for a two-year term in the following manner: AZ, CO, MT, and ID (elected on even numbered years). NV, NM, UT, WY and SK (elected on odd numbered years).

Responsible for updating and posting information to the AIMHO website. Minimal skills required for this committee include familiarity with web editing software, some experience with forms, some familiarity with access database. If possible, experience with a web CMS such as Drupal.
